This therapy originates from the oldest Pueblo tribe of Native American Indians – the Hopi tribe – who have an extensive knowledge of natural healing and live a spiritual lifestyle. The candles are hollow and when lit and placed gently in the ear they cause a chimney effect creating an updraught, which then helps to relieve any blockages. They are made from organic cotton, which is impregnated with beeswax and honey and they contain sage, St. John’s Wort, Chamomile and essential oils.

The warmth and the effect of the herbs and oils help to stimulate the lymphatic and immune systems in and around the ears, which may then help to calm and soothe the mind.

Most conditions of the upper respiratory tract can be helped with this treatment but it is not suitable if you have a perforated eardrum or have had grommets inserted in the eardrum.
