Janice Grace DPodM MRCPod

I qualified in1984 from the Northern College of Chiropody in Salford. I was employed by South Sefton Health Authority as an NHS Community Podiatrist. I have worked in community clinics and also in the patient's home environment. As part of my duties I have undertaken new patient assessments, treated their foot problems and formulated treatment plans for them. I also give advice on foot care and footwear. Also, I supervise students during their training and regularly perform nail surgery.

In 2010 I completed a module on tissue viability and wound healing. I have also done a rotation at Aintree University Hospital with the Podiatry Diabetes Service.

I have been responsible for managing a caseload of high risk patients. This includes patients with diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, vascular problems and nerve damage.

I keep up to date with new developments and have recently taken part in an audit undertaken by the HCPC into the Continuing Professional Development of podiatrists. I successfully met the standards, demonstrating that I have continued to learn and develop for the benefit of my patients.

I became an associate of Andrew Boyle Podiatry in 2013 , working part time at Healthpoint Formby, and part time in the NHS.

In February 2017, I left my NHS post and now work entirely in private practice at the Healthpoint Formby and Ainsdale practices.
