Andrew Boyle, DPodM, MRCPod I qualified in 1984 after studying for three years
at the Northern College of Chiropody (Manchester/Salford). |
I
also worked within the Orthopaedics Department at Royal Liverpool Hospital,
as the chiropodist in a specialist foot health team, headed by the
distinguished surgeon Professor Leslie Klenerman. I was involved with
a research clinic that developed new techniques in the prevention,
and treatment of neuropathic foot ulcers. Alongside my NHS work, I developed my private practice, opening my first surgery in Formby in 1991. In 2000, I decided to commit to full time private practice and I ceased all my NHS work. Now there are three venues for treatment, Formby, Ainsdale and Maghull. I have seven wonderful Associate Podiatrists who have wide experience, and who will provide you with quality, professional care. Between them we aim to keep all our patients comfortable and mobile for years to come. In July 2008, I was appointed by the R & A to provide the Podiatry service for The Open at Royal Birkdale Golf Club. I attend the Royal College of Podiatry, The Foot and Ankle Show, and Foothealth conferences every year and I am a member of the Merseyside Branch of our College. At these events I enjoy participating in my continued professional development (CPD), which is a requirement of our registration. I enjoy learning, refreshing my skills and meeting my podiatry colleagues at these events. In recent years, I have trained in extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) as an additional therapy for our patients. At the end of May 2024, I retired from my clinical
work, but I continue to own and operate the business on a day to day
basis.
